Many places host a meal with Disney characters. While you eat, the Disney characters briefly visit your table for autographs and pictures. Often Pluto, Goofy, Chip (black nose), and Dale join the star character. Some characters visit every table, but others don't. We rated the meals on the character experience rather than food quality. Meals are normally satisfactory. For families that want to be at the park when it opens, we suggest a character lunch or dinner. Our favorite breakfast is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian - afterwards we ride the monorail into the Magic Kingdom.

Character Meals are more expensive, and the difference varies by meal and by location. The price is usually fixed because most meals are buffets or a set menu, and we encourage you to ask about the price per person when you make your reservation. If you are interested in a character meal, it can be more economical to book a package that includes a character meal. We can help you with this.
